The Fire Station hotel is a family business owned and operated by John and Kerrie Campbell. Together they have been working in hospitality for 30 years. John is a craft beer enthusiast, in fact you will rarely see him drink anything else.

John is a passionate supporter of the Australian craft brewing industry and introduced craft beer to Wallsend in 2012. The pub now has 16 taps, 10 of which rotate and are dedicated to craft beer – from lagers to triple IPA’s. John often has rare beer’s due to his good rapport with our local brewers.

In 2017 the pub underwent a handsome refurbishment giving the place a more relaxed vibe with booth seating and a new outdoor garden area to chill.

Wow! Everytime we eat here it just gets better and better. My fiancee and i agreed that theres no need to go else where for a meal. Saying that the food is ridiculously tasty and prepared to perfection would be a huge understatement. Cant wait to come back again!

Food is always good here. Schnitzel's are a good size, and value for money; especially on a Monday. Lamb shanks are the best I've had in Newcastle. The beers on tap cover a diverse range of styles, and are frequently changing to satisfy all tastes.
